Monday Blues

Always remember that hard times are temporary milestones.  ~Tammy Campbell Brooks

Each week, we ask the rhetorical question of, where did the weekend go? We know exactly where it went. It went and goes where you go. Only you can logically answer this age old question.

We feel as though, the weekend went too fast and now we have to wake-up early and get ready to start another week of “Monday Blues.”

I’m here to help you get through the day. Whatever you are going through, stay positive and do the best YOU can to get through it.

One of the things that gets me through tough days and it never fails is music. I LOVE music, and like the O’Jays say, “Any kind of music, just as long as it’s groovin.”

On this Monday, I’m challenging whoever is following me to the “I’m in my feelings” Shiggy dance Challenge, by Drake.

Next Monday, I will post a video of me doing the challenge. If you want to participate, please send me an email and a video so that I could feature you, too! Each Monday, I will post a Shiggy dance challenge video.

Let’s turn our Monday Blues into Monday’s Rhythm & Blues.

A Dream Come True

Through my words, I will aspire to live forever. ~Tammy Campbell Brooks

Writing is a hobby, but not in my wildest dreams would I ever think that I could make a difference.

A dream just became a reality overnight. I don’t know what my purpose is in this world, but my dream is to inspire. ~Tammy Campbell Brooks

Last night, I received good news that my debut autobiography, “The Ghetto Blues” is available at Walmart stores.  Prior to being available at Walmart, “The Ghetto Blues” is available at Barnes and Nobles, The Book People bookstore, The Dead Tree bookstore, The Bookwoman bookstore, and also at local libraries.

I don’t know who’s looking down on me, but I humbly appreciate it. I want to celebrate my good news with all indie authors, self-published authors, hybrids, to let them know that your book could do the same.

Keep marketing and don’t let anyone say what you can or can’t do.

Believe in you and your hard work. Let’s break the glass ceiling of traditional publishing.

July 14, 2000- I chatted on the AOL social media website when my “future” husband instant messaged me. We met in person the next day at my job and the rest is history.

This post is dedicated to the one I’ve loved for 18 years.

July 13, 2018 (12:10)- The first journal post and I don’t know where to begin. There’s so much to say but my mind is boggled with ideas.

I wrote my first book titled, “The Ghetto Blues” and it can be purchased on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, The Dead Tree Bookstore, The Book People Bookstore, The Bookwoman Bookstore, and there are copies to be checked out at your local library.

The Ghetto Blues- is a captivating story of my life. It’s an inspirational read for adults. I put my heart and soul into the book and have received positive feedback.
