Tar Baby 2 (Tianna’s Story)

As an indie author, it’s always rewarding to finally finish and publish your work. The blood, sweat, and tears are temporary over. You could breathe a sigh of relief until you begin again. Rinse and repeat.

Writing is something that I’ve always enjoyed every since I was a little girl. I used to write skits for my baby sister and I to rehearse. I was the director and producer, and I can still see my ten year old self getting upset at my seven year old sister for not acting or reciting the skits like I planned. My poor sister. I don’t see how she put up with me with always wanting things perfect. SMH.

I look at things so much different than before, but the drive of perfection is still buried inside of me. I settle for what’s good enough for me because I know everything isn’t perfect. So, to all the people that are critical of yourself and work, let’s take a moment and appreciate the effort that it takes to write a book or be successful at anything you do in life.

It isn’t easy to write a book. If it was then everyone would be a published author. I say to you, take a moment to breathe, enjoy, and celebrate! You did it!
